What Clients Are Saying…

I was watching this L’Oreal TV commercial with Heather Locklear saying, “You’re worth it!” and that was the moment I decided to find the help I needed. Not to color my hair again, but for the chronic headache I was living with. Sometimes I could get through the day reasonably well, but there were also days I couldn’t even think of walking around. It wasn’t always that bad, but it was certainly always there. I started a search on the Internet and found Dr. Roubal’s website. Needless to say, I became one of his patients. The biggest hurdle? To be honest, the money. This was more than I ever spent on a dentist. But, Heather’s words were still echoing in my mind and in retrospect…this was an investment in me – and worth every penny. The best money I ever spent!

I was in pain for years. The muscles in my neck and shoulders sometimes hurt so bad that I could only lie flat on my bed and cry. I was desperate because my family doctor also didn’t know what to do anymore. I tried so many different drugs, antidepressants and massage therapies that I lost count. All the fun things in life – vacations, parties or going out – didn’t seem important anymore because I was continuously in pain. It also had a negative impact on my marriage. I was bad-tempered, and ready to explode at any time. Then, through one of my friends, I heard about Dr. Roubal. Actually, I found it hard to believe that a “dentist” could help me. I never expected that my pain would have a dental cause. He quickly determined that my lower jaw was in big trouble and started a treatment that kicked in after a couple of days. Now I’m pain free and finally got my life back!

It started with some clicking and popping of my lower jaw and at first I didn’t pay too much attention to it. When eating it seemed like I couldn’t open my mouth as wide as I was used to. When the ringing in my ears started, I thought I had a very bad cold or something. I tried some prescriptions and they didn’t help too much. After a while my wife asked me why I was so grumpy all the time. I explained what was going on but couldn’t convince her of my problem. She simply told me to “cheer up” a bit. When I experienced numbness in my arms and fingers, I knew something was really wrong and I feared things like a brain tumor or heart problems. Finally, after telling my doctor exactly about the symptoms, he advised me to visit a professional head, neck and facial pain dentist. A dentist? I said. My teeth have nothing to do with this! Little did I know that the joint that connects my upper with my lower jaw was the root of my problems! Dr. Roubal in Omaha, Nebraska where I live, did a whole bunch of tests (looked like science fiction to me!) and found the cause. Again, I never would have thought that it would have been something dental. Anyway, I’m a party guy, and life didn’t feel like a party at all for quite some time. Now it’s a wonderful world…again!
